Dog Groomer/Bather

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care and grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. Pay is commission based Duties Perform grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitizing tools and equipment. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process. Assist in animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Collaborate with staff when needed to address any health concerns observed during grooming sessions. Keep detailed records of services provided to each pet, including any special instructions or observations. Qualifications At least 2yrs Previous experience in pet grooming is required. Clear Driving record and valid ID Strong skills in dog handling, animal care, and animal restraint techniques are essential. Familiarity with various dog breeds, their grooming needs, and behavior is highly desirable. Experience in customer service to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their inquiries or concerns. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or moving equipment. Additional experience in dog training, equine care, kennel management, or pet sitting is a plus. A compassionate attitude towards animals combined with a strong work ethic is crucial for success in this role.
