Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and experienced Dog Groomer to join our dynamic pet care team! In this role, you will be the face of our grooming services, providing top-quality grooming, pet care, and animal handling to ensure every dog looks and feels their best. Your expertise will help create a positive grooming experience for pets and their owners alike, fostering trust and satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who loves working with animals and thrives in a lively, customer-focused environment. Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am-5:30pm and Sunday 8:00-4pm and closed on all major holidays including Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Provide pet care by monitoring dogs' health and behavior throughout the grooming process, alerting staff to any concerns Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards Offer exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences and aftercare instructions Support veterinary staff with animal handling or restraint if needed for veterinary procedures or examinations Requirements Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming skills across various breeds and sizes Background in veterinary experience or as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care best practices Familiarity with dog training methods to assist in managing behavioral issues during grooming Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely when handling large dogs or equipment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail Benefits The position offers a dynamic work environment with W2 competitive hourly pay and opportunities for career growth Paid time off after 1 year anniversary Join us in creating a joyful environment where animals are treated with love and professionalism!
