This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your animal handling skills and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. Pay is based on commission Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care, ensuring safety through proper restraint techniques and gentle animal handling practices Assess each pet's health status during grooming sessions, recognizing signs that may require veterinary attention or further evaluation Maintain a clean, organized grooming area, adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance to promote overall health Support other team members with behavioral guidance when appropriate to ensure a calm grooming environment Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is required Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint, and pet sitting enhances your ability to work confidently with diverse animals Experience with heavy lifting is beneficial for handling larger pets or equipment safely Knowledge of dog training techniques can improve behavioral management during grooming sessions Excellent customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and addressing their concerns effectively
