Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. This position has shifts Monday through Friday 2pm to 6pm. You will work closely with pets and their owners, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong customer service skills. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors. Handle animals safely and compassionately during all interactions. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving supplies or larger animals. Skills Strong knowledge of animal care practices and handling techniques. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Experience in kennel operations or related fields is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to animal care. Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus. Background as a veterinary technician or in veterinary settings is advantageous. Proficient in handling various types of animals with care and respect. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
