Midday Pet Caregiver & Dog Walker (Part-Time)

Love Animals? We're Hiring a Pet Caregiver Little Bay Pet Services is looking for a responsible and energetic individual to join our team as a part-time Pet Caregiver. This position focuses on midday visits in the Rye, New Castle, Portsmouth area, and nearby communities within a short driving distance. With many years of experience providing trusted in-home pet care, we are seeking someone who can uphold high standards while ensuring pets remain safe, comfortable, and well looked after during the day. Position Summary As part of this role, you will travel to clients' homes to deliver dog walking and general pet care services during midday hours.

Typical responsibilities include:

Walking dogs and supporting their daily exercise routine Feeding pets and replenishing water Offering companionship and attentive care Administering medications when needed (training provided; injections are a plus) Observing pets for any changes in behavior or health Handling light home care tasks such as plant watering, mail collection, and basic checks Sending visit updates and photos using a mobile app Work Schedule Part-time hours between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Availability on weekends (rotating options may be available) Must be available during major holidays and school breaks Location & Travel Requirements Must live in or very near Rye, New Castle, or Portsmouth, NH Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle required Comfortable driving locally and working outdoors in different weather conditions Ideal Candidate Enjoys working with animals and has a calm, confident approach Capable of handling dogs of various sizes (up to 120 lbs) Understands basic pet safety and behavior Communicates clearly and professionally Able to work independently and stay organized Dependable, attentive, and trustworthy Basic Qualifications Must pass a background screening Must own a smartphone for scheduling and communication Reliable transportation is required What We Offer A flexible, part-time schedule within set daytime hours An active, outdoor work environment Opportunities to build meaningful connections with pets and clients Paid onboarding and training Tips and performance-based bonuses Insurance coverage including liability, bonding, and workers' compensation Relaxed dress code About the Team We are a group of dedicated professionals who care deeply about animals and take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality service.
