Midday Pet Sitter & Dog Walker (Part-Time) Rye, NH 03870 $20.50 - $26.00 an hour - Part-time $20.50 - $26.00 an hour - Part-time Are you dependable, active, and passionate about animal care? We are seeking a Part-Time Pet Care Specialist to provide professional dog walking and pet sitting services for clients throughout the local community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, spending time outdoors, and building positive relationships with pets and their owners. About the Role As a member of our pet care team, you will visit clients' homes during daytime hours to provide exercise, companionship, and routine care for dogs and other household pets. Every visit plays an important role in ensuring pets remain happy, healthy, and comfortable while their owners are away. Primary Responsibilities Provide scheduled dog walking services Care for pets in accordance with client instructions Refresh food and water as needed Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior Administer medications when required Perform simple household tasks such as bringing in mail or watering plants Record visit details and share updates through a mobile application Maintain a professional and dependable experience for every client Schedule Part-time daytime hours Most visits occur between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Weekend availability required on a rotating basis Availability during holidays and school vacation periods is expected Requirements Reside within a reasonable driving distance of the service area Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Comfortable driving between client appointments Ability to work outdoors throughout the year Able to manage dogs of varying breeds, temperaments, and sizes Strong communication and time-management skills Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Smartphone required for scheduling and visit reporting Preferred Qualifications Previous pet care, animal care, veterinary, kennel, or shelter experience Familiarity with administering pet medications Experience handling large-breed dogs Understanding of animal behavior and safety practices Compensation & Benefits Paid training and onboarding Flexible part-time scheduling Performance-based bonuses and gratuities Liability, bonding, and workers' compensation coverage Casual work attire Opportunity to spend your day working with animals in an active environment Who We Are Our team is committed to providing dependable, compassionate care that pet owners can trust.
