Job Overview Sam's Dapper Dog is looking for a dependable and dog-loving Bather to join our grooming team! As a Bather, you'll play a key role in the grooming process by ensuring pups are clean, dry, and ready for their haircuts. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working hands-on with dogs and wants to grow in the pet care industry. Duties Bathe and dry dogs of all sizes and breeds using safe, effective techniques Perform basic hygiene tasks such as nail trimming , ear cleaning , and brushing Assist in preparing dogs for grooming by ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and dried Handle dogs safely and confidently, even if they are nervous, large, or high-energy Maintain a clean and sanitized bathing area and equipment Work alongside groomers and other staff to create a smooth workflow and positive experience for each dog Provide gentle, compassionate care to ensure a stress-free grooming process for pups Support team in maintaining a calm, professional, and pet-friendly environment Qualifications Experience preferred - must have worked as a dog bather in a grooming or pet care setting Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Familiar with bathing, drying, nail trimming, and ear cleaning techniques Physically able to stand for extended periods , lift dogs, and perform repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail to ensure dogs are clean and groom-ready Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment Punctual, reliable , and willing to help maintain a tidy workspace Loves dogs and is committed to keeping them happy, healthy, and looking great
