Overview Join our dynamic team at Woof Woof as a Dog Groomer and unleash your passion for pet styling! In this energetic role, you will provide top-quality grooming services that keep dogs looking and feeling their best. Your expertise in pet grooming, animal handling, and dog training will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. We are committed to fostering a lively, supportive environment where your skills can shine and make a real difference in the lives of furry friends. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your craft while working with a dedicated team of animal lovers. You would have your own clean space, fully stocked tools, and flexible hours. Feel free to add to our already existing client list. Looking for a June 18th start date. Please provide years of experience & references as well as before and after pictures of dogs you have groomed. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and styling tailored to each dog's breed, coat condition and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas in compliance with health standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Experience Previous experience in the pet grooming industry for 3-5 years is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal restraint, and pet care best practices is a plus Experience with dog training or veterinary technician/assistant roles enhances your ability to handle diverse situations effectively Familiarity with animal handling techniques across various species including equine experience is advantageous Strong customer service skills combined with a genuine love for animals are essential for success in this role Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with larger dogs or equipment Join us to turn your passion for animals into a rewarding career where every day brings new opportunities to make pets look good and feel loved!
