Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Conduct dog walks and drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and small animals. Walk dogs in various weather conditions while ensuring their safety and comfort. Provide animal care, including feeding, administering medication and cleaning up after accidents. Monitor pets during visits for any signs of distress or discomfort. Build strong relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent customer service. Manage keys and key codes for client homes responsibly and securely. Take quality pictures and write updates for report cards to keep clients informed about their pets. Be tech-savvy and able to effectively use the booking system for scheduling and reporting. Stay calm in emergencies and know how to handle various pet-related situations effectively. Pet CPR and first aid certification course will be provided if not already obtained. Handle animals with care and patience, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary. Experience Previous experience in animal care or handling is highly preferred but not required. Skills in pet sitting, dog training, or veterinary technician experience are advantageous. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Familiarity with animal behavior and handling techniques is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while maintaining control and safety.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older. Previous pet care experience is preferred. Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Compensation:
This position operates on a commission basis, offering roughly 50% of the revenue generated from visits, which typically translates to around $20+ per hour. If you are an animal lover with a commitment to providing excellent pet care, I would love to hear from you!
