Groom & Goods is a modern, high-quality dog grooming boutique dedicated to exceptional care, education, and a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. We are looking for a reliable, animal-loving Dog Bather / Receptionist to join our growing team. Responsibilities Dog Bathing & Pet Care Bathe, brush, dry, and prep dogs for grooming services Assist groomers with basic prep work (nails, ears, brushing when trained) Observe coat and skin condition and report any concerns to the groomer or manager Handle dogs safely and calmly using proper restraint techniques Ensure each pet has a positive, stress-free experience Front Desk & Reception Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming environment Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage check-ins/check-outs Communicate clearly with pet parents about services, timing, and basic care needs Collect payments and maintain accurate client and pet records Facility & Team Support Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace Sanitize tubs, tools, cages, and common areas Assist with daily opening and closing duties Support the team during busy periods in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Genuine love for dogs and comfort working with all breeds and sizes Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a busy setting Basic animal handling experience preferred (professional or personal) Prior experience as a dog bather, kennel assistant, vet assistant, or receptionist is a plus but not required Willingness to learn grooming prep skills and pet care best practices Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Why Join Groom & Goods?
