Animal Care & Facility Assistant Southern Nevada Companions Pahrump, NV Part-Time or Full-Time Available We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, animal-loving team member to help support our family-run and in home Golden Retriever and Maine Coon breeding programs. We are a licensed breeder in Pahrump, NV This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and is comfortable helping with a wide variety of daily tasks. Responsibilities Cleaning and sanitizing animal areas Laundry, dishes, and general facility upkeep Feeding and watering dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens Assisting with daily animal care routines Monitoring animals and reporting concerns Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment Assisting with puppy and kitten socialization Helping prepare supplies and equipment Occasional errands and miscellaneous tasks Assisting with customer visits and appointments Helping with events, photos, and marketing projects as needed Bonus Skills (Not Required) Photography or videography Social media experience (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) Basic computer skills Customer service experience Experience with dogs, cats, livestock, or animal care What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual Able to work independently without constant supervision Comfortable with cleaning and physical labor Able to lift 40-50 pounds Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Flexible and adaptable as daily priorities change Comfortable working around animals of all ages Must have reliable transportation Must have a flexible schedule and be able to accommodate changing workdays and hours Must be available to work some weekends and holidays as needed Important This is not a desk job. Animal care requires cleaning, laundry, and hands-on work every day. Applicants must be comfortable performing these duties while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare. Applicants must be comfortable working around pet hair, animal waste, cleaning products, and the physical demands that come with caring for animals and maintaining a clean facility. Because we work with puppies and kittens that may not yet be fully vaccinated, team members must avoid unnecessary exposure to unvaccinated or potentially sick animals. Due to quarantine and biosecurity requirements, employees may not visit animal shelters, rescues, or other facilities where they could come into contact with unvaccinated, unknown, or ill animals, as this helps protect the health and safety of the animals in our care. This position averages approximately 20 hours per week, though schedules and hours will vary based on the needs of the animals and business. A flexible schedule is required. Team members will receive their work schedule at least one month in advance whenever possible. Pay Based on experience.
