Responsibilities Bathe, dry, and groom pets according to their specific needs and breed standards. Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming sessions. Use appropriate restraint techniques to manage pets that may be anxious or uncooperative. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area and grooming equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns. Assist in basic animal care tasks, including feeding, walking, and monitoring the behavior of pets before and after grooming. Collaborate with groomers to provide comprehensive care for pets when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred, including skills in dog handling and restraint. Familiarity with pet grooming practices is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple animals.
