Job Description

Position Overview We're looking for an experienced, passionate Dog Groomer to join our team and help build a best-in-class grooming experience. This role is ideal for someone who values quality over speed, understands dog behavior, and enjoys building long-term relationships with both dogs and their families. Responsibilities Perform full grooms, baths, deshedding, haircuts, brush-outs, nail trims, ear cleaning, and basic coat care Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and ages Assess coat and skin condition and make grooming recommendations Create customized grooming plans based on breed standards and parent preferences Monitor dog comfort and adjust handling techniques to reduce stress Communicate professionally with pet parents regarding services and recommendations Maintain grooming tools, equipment, and sanitation standards Support scheduling efficiency and timely service completion Capture before/after photos and contribute to client experience when needed Work collaboratively with daycare, boarding, and training teams Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of professional dog grooming experience required Strong scissoring, clipping, hand-drying, and breed-specific styling skills Experience grooming small, medium, and large breeds independently Knowledge of coat types, skin health, and dog body language Comfortable managing dogs with varying energy levels and grooming tolerance Calm, patient, and safety-focused approach Ability to lift and handle dogs safely and stand for extended periods Grooming certifications are a plus (AKC, NDGAA, IPG, etc.) Experience with Asian Fusion styling is a plus Experience with Gingr or similar booking software is a plus What Success Looks Like Consistently high-quality grooms Positive client feedback and repeat bookings Dogs leaving comfortable, calm, and excited to return Strong teamwork and attention to detail Bonus if you: Love education and staying current on grooming trends Enjoy building relationships with pet parents Believe grooming is part of a dog's overall wellbeing, not just appearance
Pay:
$9,000.00 - $14,000.00 per month
