Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of dogs of all breeds and sizes. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each pet leaves looking and feeling their best, while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine your love for animals with your grooming skills in a lively, supportive environment. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary attention if needed Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, sterilizing tools and equipment after each use to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a calm environment that minimizes stress for the animals Support other team members with pet care tasks such as feeding or kennel cleaning when necessary Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques Knowledge of animal care practices, including pet sitting and kennel experience preferred Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Strong animal handling skills combined with patience and compassion for pets of all temperaments Excellent customer service skills to build trusting relationships with pet owners Basic knowledge of dog training principles and animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming!
