Kennel Attendant - Boarding & Daycare Department About the Position Our veterinary hospital is seeking a dependable, compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our Boarding and Daycare team. This role is essential to ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the pets in our care. If you enjoy hands‑on work, love animals, and want to be part of a supportive team, we'd love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their well‑being Maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility, including kennels, play areas, and common spaces Clean, disinfect, and sanitize animal housing areas according to hospital protocols Supervise and engage dogs in daycare playgroups and individual enrichment activities Perform laundry duties and assist with bathing or basic grooming as needed Restock supplies and keep work areas organized Observe and report any changes in behavior, appetite, or health to veterinary staff Follow all hospital protocols for animal handling, safety, and infection control What We're Looking For A genuine love for animals and comfort working with dogs and cats of all sizes Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, sanitary environment Ability to work on your feet, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle physically active tasks Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude Previous animal care or kennel experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right person Schedule & Work Environment Weekends and holidays are required, as pet care is needed every day Fast‑paced, active environment with frequent interaction with animals Opportunities for growth within the hospital for motivated team members Why Join Us Work with a supportive veterinary team Gain hands‑on experience in animal care and behavior Make a meaningful impact on the daily lives of pets and their families
