Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pet grooming and animal handling, with the ability to provide exceptional grooming services that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our furry clients. This role involves working closely with pets and their owners, delivering professional grooming while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Experience in veterinary settings or animal handling is highly desirable, along with strong customer service skills. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and styling cuts for various dog breeds and other small animals. Handle animals safely and humanely during grooming procedures, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques. Assess pet health conditions and communicate any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff. Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area to ensure hygiene standards are met. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and preferences professionally. Assist with pet care routines such as pet sitting or kennel duties as needed. Heavy lifting of animals or equipment may be required to facilitate grooming tasks effectively. Follow safety protocols related to animal handling, grooming procedures, and equipment use. Experience Prior experience in pet grooming is preferred, with knowledge of dog training, animal restraint, and pet care techniques. Veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus, especially involving animal handling and veterinary procedures. Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats, or equines in a professional setting is advantageous. Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or heavy lifting related to animal care is beneficial. Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting effectively with clients and their pets. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine love for animals and possess excellent animal handling skills to ensure safety and comfort during grooming sessions.
