Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dog Groomer to join our dynamic pet care team! In this role, you will bring your expertise in pet grooming, animal handling, and veterinary-related skills to ensure every dog looks and feels their best. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive grooming experience for pets and their owners alike. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Provide basic dog training and behavioral guidance to help dogs stay calm and cooperative during grooming sessions Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools, cages, and workstations regularly Assist with pet care routines such as feeding, administering medication if needed, and monitoring overall health during visits Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns Support veterinary team members with animal handling tasks when necessary, including veterinary technician or assistant duties Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong focus on dog handling and animal care Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal restraint techniques, and pet health fundamentals Ability to perform dog training basics to promote good behavior during grooming sessions Familiarity with animal handling across various species including dogs and horses (equine experience is a plus) Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns confidently Physical stamina for heavy lifting of animals or equipment as needed throughout the day Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and professionalism Join us if you're eager to combine your love for animals with your grooming expertise!
