In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our furry guests while providing exceptional pet care. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each animal receives the highest standard of care, from feeding and grooming to handling and monitoring their health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, applying your skills in dog training, veterinary experience, and pet handling to make a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Handle dogs and other animals with patience and confidence, ensuring their safety through proper restraint and handling techniques Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals comfortable and healthy Monitor animal behavior closely, noting any signs of illness or distress and reporting concerns promptly Maintain detailed records of animal health, feeding schedules, grooming activities, and behavioral observations Requirements Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, pet grooming facility or similar environment is highly preferred Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques Experience in dog training or veterinary technician work is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or assisting with animals Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of pet care best practices including pet sitting, grooming, and basic veterinary procedures Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekends or varied shifts as needed Join us in creating a caring environment where animals thrive!
