We have recently moved and built out from the ground up a new location in Orenco Station Hillsboro. This location is the most highly concentrated pet ownership in the state and we have an excellent opportunity to expand services (possibly cats) and retail. Our company promotes a positive and respectful working environment and values our employee's well-being. We currently are open 5 days a week (Tuesday to Saturday) with 7 groomers.

Job Overview:

This position will be a salon leader/General Manager, with their starting priorities focused on Team Leadership, supporting day-to-day grooming operations and reviewing policies and procedures. We will then intentionally investigate expand product offerings and services, to possibly include cats as we have access to additional space. This is a working position with part of each day/week being grooming pets. We're looking for someone who not only excels in grooming, but also has a passion for team development, client experience, and helping elevate the overall operation. The successful candidate should have outstanding grooming skills, people management experience, shop operations/business foresight, knowledge of dog breeds, and excellent customer service skills. As a salon leader, you will be responsible for:

• Providing exceptional grooming services to our furry customers
• Coordinating all aspects of grooming services schedule
• Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area
• Training and supervising the grooming staff
• Regularly reviewing and assessing the grooming staff's performance
• Ordering and maintaining grooming supplies inventory
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in all grooming services provided
• Handling customer complaints and inquiries
• Developing and implementing grooming work procedures and protocols
• Overseeing the management of the grooming shop facilities
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and laws

Requirements:

• A minimum of two years of experience as a dog groomer
• Staff management experience
• Demonstrated experience in managing customer relations
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work well independently and in a team
• Exceptional grooming and handling skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
