Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional bathing services to our furry clients, ensuring their cleanliness and comfort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and pet bathing, with a focus on creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Bathe and dry dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring proper techniques are used for each pet's specific needs. Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort during the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including washing towels and grooming tools after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any concerns observed during the bathing process. Assist in restraining animals as necessary to ensure safe grooming practices. Keep accurate records of services performed and any special notes regarding individual pets. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for both pets and clients. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Prior experience in dog handling, pet bathing, or animal care is necessary. Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus, as well as any background in dog care or kennel work. Strong knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques to ensure safe interactions with pets. Customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment. Experience in pet sitting or general pet care is advantageous.
