Assistant Groomer / Dog Bather

Responsibilities Safely bathe, dry, and groom dogs using appropriate techniques and equipment Handle dogs with care, ensuring proper animal restraint and comfort throughout the grooming process Assist with dog training techniques to promote good behavior during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and supplies to uphold hygiene standards Observe pets for signs of health issues or discomfort and communicate findings to veterinary staff or pet owners Provide exceptional customer service by addressing pet owner inquiries and explaining grooming procedures Support pet care routines such as brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and coat maintenance Skills Experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is preferred but not necessary Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Ability to handle animals safely with proper restraint techniques Strong animal handling skills gained from veterinary technician or assistant experience are a plus Familiarity with kennel or pet sitting environments contributes to your adaptability Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and positively Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed grooming tasks Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication to animal well-being makes a difference!
