Job Description

Job DescriptionQuakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking Kennel Attendants to join our team! Our Kennel Attendants are responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals boarding with facility. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and can provide high-quality, compassionate pet care for our clients.

Starting rate is based on previous experience and qualifications. To best serve our clients and their pets, a weekly weekend shift commitment and select holidays are required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Handle general care tasks such as walking dogs, feeding animals, cleaning cages and litter boxes, and medication administrationAssist in restraining and bathing animalsFollow a regular cleaning and sanitation scheduleMaintain a clean and healthy environmentRecognize and record any unusual condition or abnormal behavior
Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal handling or kennel care preferredAbility to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening mannerAbility to work as part of a teamCandidates must be at least 16 years of ageAbility to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
