Job Description

Job Summary Tuesday-Thursday split shift needed. Hours are 6-11am and 3-6pm with earlier start times possible during the summer months. Must be able to work all 3 days and both shifts (no exceptions). This is a year round position. Join our dedicated team as a Part Time Kennel Technician and play a vital role in providing exceptional care and comfort to our animal residents. Duties Provide daily care for animals housed in kennels, including feeding, watering, cleaning, medicating and monitoring their health. Handle animals safely using proper techniques to ensure both animal and staff safety Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas following aseptic techniques to prevent infections. Effectivey communicate any and all important observations to reception staff and/or management. Requirements Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential Knowledge of animal body language and safe handling practices Experience with difficult dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and medication administration is highly desirable Strong organization and documentation skills is a must Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction when necessary Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
