THE ROLE

We are hiring Care Companions™ to provide structured, intentional strolls for dogs within their local area. This role is not about walking dogs from point A to B.

This is about:

Reading canine behavior in real time Moving at the dog's pace Creating calm, safe experiences on leash Supporting emotional regulation through movement You will work within a consistent service area and become a familiar, trusted presence for the dogs you care for.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide daily strolls (30-60 minutes) Follow WagTime™ care and handling protocols Observe and respond to canine body language Maintain consistent care within assigned neighborhoods Communicate clearly with the team Represent WagTime™ in your community while on the job and within community events

TRAINING

All hires complete the Certified Care Companion™ Program, which includes: Structured onboarding Field shadowing with a Lead Companion Real-world application Ongoing support You are not expected to know everything but you are expected to learn and apply.

PAY & SCHEDULE

Training/fieldwork ranges from $13.50 to $21.00 per hour Growth into higher earning potential as schedules build Tips + performance opportunities

Schedule:

Weekday availability required (midday priority) Flexible within your assigned area
