Walden Pet Services has been caring for the pets of Concord, MA and surrounding communities for over twenty years. We're a trusted, professional team known for our high standards, genuine love of animals, and deeply personal approach to client service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dependable, experienced supervisor to lead our weekend operations. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE ROLE
This is primarily a management position — not a dog-walking job. As our Weekend Shift Supervisor, you'll be the person keeping things running smoothly on weekends: monitoring our team of pet care professionals in the field, handling last-minute scheduling, ensuring visit quality, and being the calm, capable voice that clients and staff can count on when something comes up. You'll work remotely during your shift, staying connected through our scheduling and communication platforms. That said, this role requires you to be local to our service area — if a team member needs backup or a situation requires someone on the ground, you may be called on with little notice. Mileage reimbursement is provided on those occasions. A dedicated workspace is available at our West Concord office for supervisors who prefer to work on-site during their shift. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Monitor staff check-ins, GPS accountability, and visit completions throughout the shift Handle last-minute service requests and scheduling adjustments Review visit reports for quality, accuracy, and professionalism Respond to client messages and handle concerns or urgent situations with care Support team members in the field who need guidance or run into issues Conduct spot checks and document quality concerns for review Step in to cover pet care visits when needed (coverage and overflow only) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Prior supervisory or team lead experience (any industry welcome — see below) Comfortable making independent scheduling and coverage decisions under pressure Strong communicator who handles client and staff interactions with professionalism and composure Self-directed and reliable; you don't need to be micromanaged to stay on top of things Must be local to our area (Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, Maynard, Acton) and able to respond in the field if needed Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (mileage reimbursement provided) Comfortable with mobile apps and digital tools Available 3 weekends per month — schedule is 3 on, 1 off If you've managed a dispersed team in a client-facing service environment with high standards — we want to hear from you. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Competitive hourly rate: $21-26/hour Mileage reimbursement for any field coverage Consistent, predictable weekend schedule: 9AM-6PM Saturday and Sunday One weekend off per month, every month Tech + phone stipends Paid time off after 3 months of employment

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
