Pet Groomer

Duties :

• Groom pets according to specific breed standards and customer preferences
• Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur to maintain their hygiene and appearance
• Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing
• Assess pets' skin and coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments
• Handle pets with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
• Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide recommendations

Experience :

• Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements
• Familiarity with various grooming tools and equipment
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with patience and compassion
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners
• Existing Clientele preferred

Skills :

• Dog training: Ability to handle dogs during the grooming process, including basic obedience commands
• Dog handling: Proficiency in safely handling dogs during grooming procedures

• Veterinary:

  Understanding of basic veterinary procedures and knowledge of animal health and wellness
• Pet care: Experience in caring for pets in the absence of their owners, including caring for and providing companionship

• Kennel:

  Knowledge of kennel operations, including cleaning, feeding, and exercise routines for pets
