Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Dog Groomer and unleash your passion for animal care! Your expertise will help enhance the well-being and happiness of each pet, creating a rewarding experience for both animals and their owners. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming treatments Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring gentle yet firm control to prevent stress or injury Support team members with additional pet care tasks such as feeding or basic veterinary assistance when needed Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is highly advantageous Familiarity with animal restraint methods and safe pet handling procedures Exceptional customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns confidently Ability to lift heavy objects such as grooming equipment or large dogs safely and comfortably At least 2 years of professional pet grooming experience is preferred.
