Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail trimming tailored to each pet's breed, size, and individual needs Handle animals safely and compassionately, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, alerting clients to any concerns that may require veterinary attention Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, sterilizing tools and equipment after each use to uphold health standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior Assist with basic animal handling tasks such as feeding, walking, or kennel cleaning when needed Support the team with additional animal care duties including pet sitting or assisting veterinary staff if required Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs of all temperaments and sizes Familiarity with dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Knowledge of animal restraint methods, pet care routines, and basic veterinary procedures such as veterinary technician or assistant experience Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger animals or equipment Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly, professional attitude toward clients and team members Prior kennel experience or animal care background preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Join us in creating a positive grooming experience that leaves pets feeling their best!
