In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services to enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your enthusiasm for animal care and pet grooming will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with compassionate pet handling in a lively, supportive environment. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary referral if necessary Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training or behavioral management when needed Support team members with additional animal handling duties including kennel cleaning or pet sitting as required Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience related to animal care enhances your ability to excel in this role Strong understanding of animal restraint methods, pet care practices, and kennel procedures Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and positively Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as grooming equipment or large dogs safely and effectively Experience working with animals in veterinary technician or assistant roles, equine experience or other animal care backgrounds are advantageous Demonstrated ability to handle animals gently yet confidently while maintaining safety standards Join us in delivering top-tier pet grooming services that leave pets looking great and feeling loved!
