Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care and customer service in a lively, pet-focused environment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable space for animals while delivering compassionate care that promotes their well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure every pet receives the highest standard of care, making a positive impact on both animals and their owners. Responsibilities Provide attentive care to animals by feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring their health status regularly. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their safety and comfort during grooming, feeding, or veterinary procedures. Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills among pets. Support veterinary staff by preparing animals for examinations or treatments, including administering medications or assisting with basic veterinary procedures. Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning to keep animals clean and comfortable. Engage in pet sitting duties by providing companionship and ensuring the well-being of animals during their stay. Maintain detailed records of each animal's care routine, health updates, and any behavioral observations for accurate documentation. Requirements Prior experience in animal handling, kennel work, or pet care is highly preferred; familiarity with dog training or veterinary technician experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safety protocols to handle dogs and other pets effectively. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Experience with pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary assistant roles will be considered advantageous.
