2 year minimum of Grooming experience! Please read full description. We are a brand new boaridng facility that will be open in December. Looking for A on call groomer to start in June. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. No set schedule, groomer will be oncall. The pay is 50% to groomer 50% to Furry Friends Play and Stay. - This is a 1099 position that allows you the freedom of choosing your on call work days, while learning how to make the most of your tax benefits as an independent contractor. We want to help you grow as an independent contractor and entrepreneur. What is provided for the space: Store Front location. Clean working enviorment. Potential to make 300-600 a day. (estimate from other groomer projections) Make your own schedule . Equipment for groomer (washtub, kennels, electric table, dryer, shampoo, conditioner, potential clinets from boarding facility, cleaning supplies). Provide payment processing services. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle animals with care and restraint to ensure their safety during grooming procedures. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming options. Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their health. Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history and any special requirements or notes from clients. Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of various breeds and grooming techniques. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage different temperaments of pets. Experience in dog training or veterinary roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their concerns effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large breeds or equipment. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
