Overview Join our dynamic team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and exceptional grooming skills come together to create happy, healthy pets and satisfied pet owners. In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and well-being, ensuring a positive experience for every furry client. Your expertise in animal handling, pet care, and customer service will help build lasting relationships with clients while showcasing your talent in pet grooming and animal care. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals safely and compassionately, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming sessions Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools and equipment regularly Assess each pet's health condition during grooming appointments and communicate any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff Provide exceptional customer service by explaining grooming procedures, recommending products, and addressing client questions or concerns Assist with dog training or behavioral guidance when appropriate to ensure smooth grooming experiences Support veterinary or kennel staff with animal handling tasks as needed, including light veterinary assistance or pet sitting duties Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong portfolio of completed work Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills to manage pets effectively during grooming Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable for understanding animal health indicators Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices to ensure safety for pets and staff Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and repeatedly throughout the day Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Prior kennel experience or animal handling background enhances your ability to work confidently with diverse animals Join us in creating a positive environment where pets feel loved and cared for while showcasing your grooming expertise!
