Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and experience in handling various breeds and sizes. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the pets in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Duties Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, administering medication and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and play areas by regularly cleaning and sanitizing. Monitor the health and behavior of animals. Support pet training initiatives by reinforcing positive behaviors during playtime. Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' activities and well-being. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred but not required. Ability to handle various breeds safely and effectively. Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
