Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care and confidence, ensuring safe restraint and comfort during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary referral if necessary Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training or behavior management to facilitate smooth grooming sessions Support team members with kennel cleaning, animal handling, and light pet sitting duties as needed Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles and have at least 2 years of pet grooming experience. Knowledge of animal handling techniques and restraint methods to ensure safety for pets and staff Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly desirable, providing insight into animal health and care Experience with dog training, veterinary procedures, or equine handling is a plus, demonstrating versatility in animal care skills Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as bathing tubs or large dogs safely and comfortably Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns professionally Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail Join us in creating a joyful environment where animals are treated with kindness and professionalism.
