Job Description
We are an established self wash/pet grooming/pet supply store seeking a new part time to potentially full time employee to join our team! Applicant must have excellent communication and customer service skills, and MUST have professional experience practicing safe animal handling. We are currently seeking a full time employee (30-40 hours/week), including some shifts into the evening and some weekend shifts. Duties of the job will include, but not limited to: Daily cleaning of bathing and retail areas (we clean a lot!) Cleaning up after dogs and their various messes, doing laundry and stocking grooming supplies, interacting with customers, explaining and assisting with self wash area, unloading retail products and stocking shelves, learning retail products and basic animal nutrition, learning how to cut nails, learning point of sale system, cashing out customers and setting grooming appointments. Lastly learning the opening and closing daily procedures of the dogwash. Position requirements are as follows, but not limited to: Must have some professional experience in the pet industry. Must be comfortable around all breeds and sizes of dogs. Must be able to bend frequently and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working with a team, as well as independently. We are looking for a self motivated person! Must have organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize. Must be comfortable interacting with customers in person and over the phone.
