Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each dog's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat, skin, ears, teeth, and overall health, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the team or pet owners Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is in excellent condition Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare tips, and pet behavior Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, demonstrating gentle animal handling skills to reduce stress Qualifications Proven experience in dog grooming Minimum of 3 years professional experience Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus for understanding animal behavior and health considerations Familiarity with veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances ability to recognize health issues during grooming Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain pets safely while minimizing stress or discomfort Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for assisting with larger dogs Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous for understanding animal needs and behavior management Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming!
