Kennel Technician and Pet Daycare Attendant

Position Summary:

A Kennel Technician is responsible for providing compassionate care and maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment for all animals staying at the facility. This role includes feeding, exercising, cleaning, monitoring, and providing comfort to dogs and cats under our care. Kennel Technicians play a key role in ensuring each pet's health, safety, and happiness during their stay. Reliability is incredibly important. Our guests are depending on you. Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed Clean and disinfect suites, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a sanitary environment. Walk, exercise, and engage animals in playtime or socialization activities. Monitor the health and behavior of each pet, reporting any changes or concerns to management Bathe, brush, and dry dogs Safely handle animals of all sizes and temperaments. Wash and fold laundry, clean food/water dishes, and restock cleaning and care supplies. Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and client communication as needed. Capture photos and videos of guests for clients and social media submission Follow all safety and handling protocols to ensure the well-being of animals, staff, and guests.

Qualifications:

Prior experience working with animals (kennel, veterinary, grooming, or rescue environment preferred but willing train). Ability to handle animals safely, confidently, and compassionately. Must be 18 years of age Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking dogs and cleaning kennels.

Flexible availability:

Some weekends and holidays will be required Applicants must have no animal offenses on their background Pay range determined by experience ($10-14/hr) Potential for growth beyond current rate

Preferred Skills:

Basic knowledge of animal behavior and body language. Comfort with bathing, nail trims, or administering oral medications. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment:

This position involves working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Kennel Technicians may be exposed to noise, cleaning chemicals, and animals of varying temperaments. Shifts Examples /

As early as 6am
