Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with patience and confidence, utilizing animal handling techniques and restraint skills to ensure safety for both pets and staff Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming procedures Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, sterilizing tools and equipment regularly to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, administering medications if needed, and monitoring health during grooming sessions Support other team members with animal handling or kennel duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork Experience Previous experience with breed specific dog grooming is required. Experience with cat grooming is a plus. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience enhances your ability to manage diverse breeds and temperaments Familiarity with veterinary technician or assistant roles provides a strong foundation in animal health care practices Experience with animal restraint, pet sitting, or kennel work demonstrates your capacity to handle animals safely in various situations Background in heavy lifting or physical tasks related to animal care equipment is beneficial Excellent customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and addressing their concerns confidently A genuine passion for animals combined with hands-on experience in pet grooming or veterinary environments will set you up for success in this energetic role

$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
