Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kennel Attendant to join our vibrant team and ensure the well-being of our animals while providing exceptional care and customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for pets in our care, assisting with daily animal handling, feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health. Your enthusiasm and compassion will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners, fostering trust and loyalty. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals and contribute to their happiness and health every day. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring animals' health and behavior Handle dogs and other animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets, staff, and visitors Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene maintenance Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, lobby, and equipment to uphold high standards of hygiene Offer excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and well-being Qualifications Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet care setting is highly preferred Knowledge of dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs safely during various activities Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animal care tasks Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude toward animals and their owners Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment We have 2 separate positions available, one for weekday afternoons and weekend shifts available. Weekday afternoon Shift 3pm-7pm Monday-Friday Weekend Shift(Sat & Sun) 7am-10am, 12-1pm, & 3pm-6pm Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals every day! Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
