Job Description
Exciting job opportunity in Skagway, AK. First priority - Must love dogs Care for sled dogs: feeding, watering, poop scooping, basic dog health and pen care Harnessing dogs and prepping them for tours Assist in general tour duties as assigned Handlers may also have the opportunity to drive the sled with approval from the Manager and General Manager Most importantly, be compassionate, friendly, and loving towards the dogs This is an entry-level position with no experience necessary as we will provide the training. This position is strenuous and active, often requiring repeated heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. If you love dogs, are a good worker, and happy to be around this could be the job for you. If hired, you will be required to pass a background and drug test prior to beginning your employment.
