Job Description

Love Dogs Camp is a cage free camp designed for dogs' optimal health & well-being, where every dog is treated with appreciation, kindness, patience, understanding and respect. We are seeking a dog socialization teacher who is aligned with our holistic dog training philosophy and available for some part time days and available to handle overflow boarding on some weekends : 1. Understands that dog socialization teacher is not about "obedience" and "submission", but, instead, is aligned with our philosphy of teaching based upon a foundation of patience, mutual trust, respect and understanding. 2. Understands that each dog is different, may have experienced emotional (or physical) trauma, and requires a customized, approach to addressing that dog's issues. 3. Understands the value of taking the time to observe, listen to and respect each dog's cues about what he/she needs before becoming that dog's teacher.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with dogs. 2. Open communication skills with staff, clients and dogs 3. Commitment to honesty and integrity in working with clients and colleagues. 4. 100% commitment to utilizing only psychologically and physically positive interactions with dogs. 5. Flexible schedule - Available some Tuesdays, some Thursdays/Fridays for 1/2 day, available for overflow boarding assignments on some week-ends - which involves staying on site from Saturday morning to Monday morning and available for occasional Housesitting assignments in customers homes 6. Good references, punctual, strong work ethic, reliable transportation. As part of our commitment to promoting wellness and ensuring a safe workplace, we maintain a non-smoking policy on our premises.
