Overview Dog Handler Wanted - Belmont, CA Up and Coming Dog Daycare and Training Facility Opening in September / October 2026 We're building a high‑standard daycare & training environment and need dog handlers who can manage large groups, read behavior, and keep dogs calm & safe. If you're reliable, energetic, and eager to learn real canine communication, apply today.
Includes:
hands‑on training & growth opportunities Responsibilities Safely handle, lead and control dog groups during daily activities, daycare, boarding, training, and grooming. Maintain cleanliness of facility, yard, and common areas to ensure a sanitized environment for all animals Support pet grooming sessions by bathing, brushing, and managing animal coats with gentle care Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and behaviors Experience Previous dog daycare / training experience or veterinary technician background preferred but not required Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or pet boarding environments is highly valued Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior enhances your ability to handle diverse breeds confidently Familiarity with animal handling tools such as leashes, harnesses, muzzles, and restraint equipment Hands-on experience in pet grooming or animal care facilities demonstrates your commitment to hygiene standards Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving animals or supplies is essential This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about animal welfare who thrive in active environments and love learning new things.
