Full Job Description Happy Hound is looking for dog loving people to join our team 30-35 hours per week with potential opportunity to pick up additional shifts. We are currently recruiting for Dog Handler personnel to work at our award-winning dog day care, grooming, training and boarding facility. Excellent opportunity for everyone, including food service industry hosts, servers or bartenders who love dogs. Opportunities for advancement and pay increases based on performance. Happy Hound has been in Oakland for over 22 years and has grown into an award-winning, premier doggy daycare, grooming, training and boarding facility. Job Requirements No experience required Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Positively contribute to the business and possess the ability to adapt Commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy place for our happy hounds! Demonstrate an excellent work ethic and enthusiasm for learning different aspects of the business Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to be flexible within the position Qualifications Dog lover High school or equivalent Open availability Ability to take direction Ability to problem solve and provide resolutions in fast paced environment Applicants must be 18 years or older We are a second chance employer We Offer $17.50 an hour to start Hands-on training of dog behavior and psychology Free dog daycare & boarding-after 30 days of employment. Boarding must be pre-approved Medical, dental and vision insurance
