We are looking for people who are passionate about working with dogs, come join our team!! Better K9 Pet Resort LLC is a primarily outdoor cage free/leash free dog daycare, boarding, and training facility. We have two locations, one in Riverside and one in Corona, California. Our passion is working with dogs and creating an environment that provides both dog and owner with a high level of security and reassurance, so their pups are safe and comfortable. This is an entry-level, for Full time Regular position 30-40 hours weekly, three to four 10 hour shifts and/or on call as a possibility in our Riverside location. Experience is a plus for this position but not necessary a determination for hiring. Our hours of operation are from 6:00 am - 9:30 pm daily, open 7 days a week, including holidays and weekends. Full time regular position hours can vary from 30-40 hours weekly in a slow season.

Job Requirements:

Oversee at least 15 - 20 dogs in a pack Watching, engaging, and playing with dogs, at least 4 - 8 hours daily Complete online and hands on dog handling training (provided after hire) General cleaning/sanitization of dog rooms, yards, and facility Work weekends and Major holidays Customer service Administering medication (possibly including shots, generally caring for ill dogs may be required) Feeding dogs Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments including dominant breeds and comfortable around aggressive behavior dogs. Comfortable working outside in hot and cold weather, year-round.

Must Have Requirements:

Good attendance & punctuality are a must. Able to lift 70+ lbs. Able to work weekends and holidays - please do not apply if you cannot commit to this requirement. Working cell phone Reliable transportation Is a team player and has a willingness to learn. Open Availability Great to Have, but

Not Required:

At least 1 year of previous experience working in a kennel, dog handling, or working with dogs in a professional setting Vet tech certification CPR certification, humans or dogs Dog training/Dog Handling experience in a pack environment is a plus Vet Tech Certificate is a plus What's In It For You!
