The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dog training and animal care, with the ability to work effectively with various breeds and temperaments. This role involves teaching obedience, socialization, speciality classes and behavioral modification techniques to dogs while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. Duties Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of all ages and skill levels. Develop customized training programs based on the specific needs of each dog and owner. Must Be comfortable and proficient with balanced training methods Maintain a safe and clean training environment for both dogs and clients. Provide guidance on general pet care, including grooming, nutrition, and health. Engage with clients to provide excellent customer service and support throughout the training process. Assist in checking clients in and out and answering questions for new clients Requirements Proven experience in dog training field Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during training sessions or when handling equipment. Willingness to become an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator Potentially open to working with someone who is looking to work their way up as an apprentice. We offer a variety of classes and are looking for a trainer who lives local and wants to do a few hours a day of classes, specifically on Tuesday or Thursdays.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
