Operation Freedom Paws is a non-profit organization whose mission is to save lives through human-canine service dog partnerships. Job Summary As a Kennel Manager, you will play a vital role in the care and well-being of dogs at our 24/7 facility. Your primary responsibility to manage all kennel operations including and staff, maintenance and housekeeping. Responsibilities Scheduling all staff to include groundskeeper, housekeeping and front desk. Manage medication for OFP, boarding, and daycare dogs. Manage social media posts for the kennel. Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, watering, training, and exercising. Taking dogs out individually for walks and potty breaks, engage in playtime tailored to each dog's needs and temperament. Supervise small playgroups to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, crates and play areas. Wash and sanitize water dishes, bedding, toys, and other equipment. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs and report any concerns to D.O. Administer meals and medications. Assist with answering phone calls and interacting with customers. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization of the kennel areas. Job shifts We are a 24/7 facility and are staffed accordingly. This position is looking to cover shifts ranging from 6am-3pm, 9am-6pm, 11am-8pm, & 3pm-12pm. Weekend availability is required. Prefer open-availability for all shifts, requiring availability for 6am-3pm, 9am-6pm, 11am-8pm specifically. Requirements Management experience. Dog handling experience and kennel management experience preferred. Proficient with computers to include word and excel. Positive attitude and strong leadership traits. Attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team Passionate about excellent dog care with protocols and instructions accurately. Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes. High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver license Ability to handle all dogs, including large breeds Ability to stand, walk, and be active for an entire 8-hour shift. Availability to work varied shifts including mornings (6 am - 3 pm), evenings (3 pm - 12 am), weekends, and holidays
