The position ensures each guest is safe, comfortable, and cared for by following individualized feeding, medication, and care instructions while maintaining a clean, sanitized, and secure environment. The Pet Boarding Attendant is committed to providing outstanding care while representing the bark! bark! brand with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. Essential Job Functions Provide continuous supervision and care for boarding dogs throughout assigned shifts. Follow individualized feeding schedules, medication instructions, and care plans accurately. Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate medication records. Monitor dogs for changes in health, behavior, or appetite and immediately report concerns to management. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized boarding facility by following all company cleaning and disinfection protocols. Ensure boarding accommodations are clean, safe, and prepared for incoming guests. Accurately complete boarding logs, feeding records, medication records, and incident documentation. Safely handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments using approved handling techniques. Assist with check-in and check-out procedures as needed and communicate professionally with customers regarding their pet's stay. Follow all company safety procedures, animal handling protocols, and operational policies. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure exceptional care and efficient daily operations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working in a boarding facility, dog daycare, veterinary clinic, or other professional animal care setting preferred. Ability to safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance required. Dog First Aid and CPR certification required within company-established timeframes. Physical Requirements This position requires standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday; frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and repetitive movement; the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance; safely handle active dogs of various sizes and temperaments; and work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to barking dogs, pet hair, cleaning products, varying temperatures, and pet waste.
