Job Description

We are looking for a flexible, reliable, self motivated and creative individual for a fun exciting career. Everyday is different and brings a new exciting challenge. We work together to make Peace Love Petcare a comfortable and happy place for the dogs and you. We have many growth opportunities and are looking for someone to help lead our team. This is a working manager position. If you do NOT have a GENUINE love of dogs, this is not the place for you. We are seeking people who are mature enough to understand and accept the responsibility of caring for other people's "children". Your job will entail supervising active, playful dogs all day! You will be ensuring a safe pack environment, the happiness of the dogs, and a very clean daycare facility. This is a high energy, active position and you will get dirty, but it's also very rewarding for those who LOVE working with dogs! In addition to working with the dogs, management responsibilities include employee scheduling and training, updating client records, social media, assisting with new dog evaluations. Online and in-person training will be provided. All positions are focused on creating a safe environment for our dogs to socialize play and learn. This position is focused on increasing positive experiences for the dogs, and also the overall function of the daycare. The manager position is an individual who has experience working with dogs, as it requires patience and diligence. They should have a strong desire to lead while balancing being a team player. They must share a passion for animal behavior and the relationships that humans have with their dogs. As with all of our staff we expect a desire to internalize the mission, values and goals of Peace Love Petcare The ideal candidate is friendly and able to be flexible with the dogs in the group as their energy level as it changes throughout the day. Our staff need to be great communicators to achieve an atmosphere that conducive for our dogs and staff. Hours for this position are Wed-Fridays 7:15am -3:30pm and Saturdays 8am-5:30pm Key Areas of Responsibility include: Manage daily dog activity Lead, train and schedule junior staff Monitor and evaluate the dogs in daycare. Maintain current vaccine records for dogs Maintain Lodging schedule Maintain social media Evaluate new dogs Maintain a safe environment for both dogs and employees Execute daily schedule of walking/potty breaks, play yard time. Feeding the dogs. Participates in overall cleaning of daycare to maintain safe and healthy environment. Must have ability to work as a team, communicating with managers/owners as well as be able to lead junior handlers. Qualified applicants will have the following minimum requirements: Ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours independently Ability to communicate with coworkers Ability to lift 25 pounds with no restrictions. Ability to use social media, post interesting stories and pictures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace Maintain regular and punctual attendance Adhere to and embrace our operational, health, safety, sanitization, and security policies/procedures Energetic and enthusiastic attitude, including the delivery of exceptional service to both our 4-legged and 2-legged clients! Able to build relationships, work as part of a team and have strong interpersonal skills. Have an ability to interact and communicate effectively with team members Must be able to stay focused and flexible and sometimes chaotic environment Able to work days, weekends and/or evenings as well as some holidays Demonstrate and support positive person interactions with all staff Be able to grasp new information and put into action Have attention to detail Ability to learn from mistakes and move on Must have some experience and background in dog behavior '
