In this energetic role, you will be the heart of our pet care facility, providing exceptional care, training, and enrichment for our furry guests. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in dog handling, training, and customer service. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and positive socialization experiences Assist in dog training activities to promote good behavior and obedience using positive reinforcement techniques Handle dogs safely during feeding, grooming, and cleaning routines while maintaining proper animal restraint procedures Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of the facility to ensure a healthy environment for pets and staff Monitor dog behavior continuously to identify signs of stress or discomfort and respond appropriately Support pet boarding services by caring for dogs overnight or during extended stays with attention to individual needs Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dogs' activities and well-being Skills Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Experience in pet sitting, dog training, kennel work, or animal handling enhances your ability to care confidently for dogs Strong knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques ensures safety for both pets and staff Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably when managing large or active dogs Skilled in pet grooming, sanitation practices, and facility cleaning to uphold high standards of hygiene Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners and visitors Team-oriented mindset with the physical stamina required for team lifting, outdoor activities, and animal care routines Embark on a rewarding journey where every day is filled with wagging tails, joyful play, and meaningful connections.
