As a Dog Sitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring dogs receive personalized attention, exercise, and companionship while their owners are away. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with flexible work hours, all while making a positive impact on pets' lives. Your dedication will help create happy, healthy, and well-cared-for dogs through attentive care and responsible handling. Responsibilities Provide daily pet care including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed Engage dogs in stimulating outdoor activities such as walks, playtime, and exercise routines to promote physical health and mental well-being Monitor and observe animal behavior to ensure safety and address any signs of distress or discomfort Maintain open communication with pet owners about their dog's activities, health status, and any concerns that arise during care periods Practice animal restraint techniques safely during grooming or veterinary visits if required Ensure a clean and safe environment by cleaning up after pets and managing supplies efficiently Follow specific instructions related to dog training, behavior management, or special needs outlined by pet owners Requirements Prior experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and understanding of animal behavior principles Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus; familiarity with veterinary procedures beneficial Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions and handling outdoor work responsibilities confidently Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage multiple pets safely and effectively Excellent client communication skills to update pet owners clearly and professionally Ability to perform overnight in-home care when required, providing consistent attention throughout the night Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and dedication to their well-being Join us as a Dog Sitter and turn your passion for animals into a rewarding career!
